It is no secret that our bodies respond well to being looked after. And really, if we fuel them with nutrient rich food, we will benefit from the resultant good health. At Chiropractors of Ascot, our mission is total health outcomes. For this reason here are some great Summer Smoothies to “power up” on.

Summer Smoothies!
Summer is here and although we all love a protein filled breakfast that keeps our energy up all morning, the reality of cooking up bacon and eggs in 35 degree heat is often too much to bear! So here’s some of Heidi’s favourite breakfast smoothies to get you going and keep you going all morning long.
Choc Protein smoothie

½ can Nakula Organic Coconut Milk
1 heaped tablespoon Power Superfoods Cacao Maca blend
1 large organic egg
1 tsp white Chia seeds
Ice/water/Coconut water

Place all ingredients in a smoothie maker and let sit for 5 minutes to allow chia seeds to swell, then blend until combined. If the coconut milk is particularly thick, add a little water or coconut water. You can also add in your Bioceuticals Symbiotique probiotic powder and get your gut healthy while you’re sipping your breakfast! This smoothie is high in fat, low in carbs and has a good hit of protein.

Calories per serving – 440 Cals
Carbs – 15g (6g sugar)
Fat – 40g
Protein – 14g

Summer Mango Protein smoothie

1 cheek frozen mango
½ can Nakula Organic Coconut Milk
1 large organic egg
1 tsp white chia seeds
1 cardamom pod

Add all ingredients to your smoothie maker, let sit for 5 minutes then blend. You may need to add a little water or coconut water if the smoothie is too thick for you.

Protein – 14g
